Every morning I get to work, turn on my computer, check my email, and download the day’s podcasts. I used to listen to music, but when that got redundant, I wandered off to the internet for a solution and discovered daily news podcasts! While cleaning, reviewing, and editing code, i listen to the news and sip on my coffee.

On September 15, 2008, when I was called into my boss’s office, I was shocked to think that in the midst of an economic downturn I would be receiving another promotion. I’m about to turn 27 years old. I don’t really know what that means or how grown up I’m supposed to feel or behave given the strange achievement of aging. I mean, shit. I suppose I should have a Masters Degree and my eye on a linear, defined career. For some reason that’s just not my path. But that’s not to say my aspirations wouldn’t blow your mind.

I can’t help but drool in marvel over smart minimalistic design. In my book these houses go above and beyond basics with their beautiful architecture, while simultaneously showcasing a respect for natural surroundings. Of course, their price tag is suitably way out of any foreseeable attainability for me, but window shopping fits my budget just fine. Here’s a peek at some of the well crafted works that have been delighting my inner architecture enthusiast. (Also, you should probably note that I know just about as much in the field of architecture as George Castanza.)
